Johnny Tsunami is a Disney Channel movie about a boy who trades his surfboard for a snowboard when his family moves from Hawaii to snowy Vermont. A sequel, Johnny Kapahala: Back on Board, was released in 2007.

Notes: Saw this the day it premeired on the Disney Channel. A pretty cute Disney flick (and this time Cary DIDN'T DIE!!! Leave it to Disney to do the impossible...) Cary played Hawaii's legendary "surfing grandfather" named Johnny Tsunami. He's not only a good guy, but wise and respected by all.

WARNING: Watching this film with its endless footage of beaches and ocean will make you very upset that you don't live in Hawaii. Unless you already live there. In that case, why haven't I been invited over yet? ;-)
